Glendale, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - The Arizona Coyotes signed first-round draft pick Brendan Perlini to a three-year, entry-level contract on Friday.

Perlini had 34 goals and 37 assists in 58 games with Niagara of the Ontario Hockey League in 2013-14. He led the IceDogs in goals and finished second on the team in scoring.

"We are very pleased to sign Brendan to an entry-level contract," said Coyotes general manager Don Maloney in a statement. "Brendan is a strong skater with great size and skill. He had an impressive prospect development camp and we look forward to watching his development."

The 18-year-old recorded three goals and one assist in seven games for Team Canada at the 2014 U-18 World Championship.

He was 12th overall pick in this year's draft.
