Coyotes sign defenseman Stefan Elliott

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) The Arizona Coyotes signed defenseman Stefan Elliott to a one-year, two-way contract Friday. Financial terms of the deal weren't disclosed.

The 24-year-old Elliott was scoreless in five games for Colorado last season. He also had 19 goals and 21 assists in 64 games for Lake Erie in the American Hockey League.

Elliott has six goals and 12 assists in 63 career NHL games in four seasons, all with Colorado. The Avalanche drafted him 49th overall in 2009.
