Cowboys sign 1st-rounder, OL Zack Martin, leaving 1 unsigned rookie in DE DeMarcus Lawrence

The Dallas Cowboys have signed first-round pick Zack Martin, leaving second-round defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence as the only rookie not under contract.

The offensive lineman from Notre Dame signed a four-year deal Monday reportedly worth about $9 million, with a $4.8 million signing bonus, in line with the terms for the No. 16 pick.

Martin is the third offensive lineman taken in the first round by Dallas in the past four drafts. He has been working as the starting right guard in offseason practices.

The Cowboys traded up to get Lawrence with the 34th overall pick out of Boise State. They're hoping he can replace franchise sacks leader DeMarcus Ware, who was released in March.
