Coutinho signs new Liverpool deal

Liverpool, England (SportsNetwork.com) - Liverpool confirmed Tuesday that the club has signed Philippe Coutinho to a long-term contract.

Coutinho, 22, has put pen to paper on a new deal that will keep him at Anfield until 2020, extending his previous contract by two years.

The Brazil international arrived at Liverpool from Inter Milan in 2013 for approximately $13 million. He has started 17 of the club's 23 Premier League clashes this term, logging two goals.
