Conte's appeal unsuccessful

Published November 20, 2014

Juventus manager Antonio Conte had his 10-month touchline ban upheld on Wednesday by the Italian Federal Court.

Conte was given the suspension as part of his plea bargain after charges of not reporting match fixing during his time in charge of Siena.

The 43-year-old will still be allowed to train Juventus during the week, but he will not be able to coach the club on match days, with those duties being assumed by assistant Massimo Carrera.

Juventus won the Serie A title last season under Conte, and the club will open defense of the title on Saturday at home against Parma.
