Indianapolis, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - One day after placing running back Ahmad Bradshaw on season-ending injured reserve, the Indianapolis Colts signed running back Daniel Herron from the practice squad of the Cincinnati Bengals.
Herron appeared in three games with the Bengals last season after being selected by the team in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL Draft, then was among the team's final cuts in August before joining the club's practice squad. The Ohio State product recorded a blocked punt and four special teams tackles while rushing four times for five yards in his limited play last year.
Indianapolis also signed linebacker Andy Studebaker on Wednesday.
Studebaker had spent his entire five-year career in Kansas City, racking up 51 tackles, five passes defensed, 2 1/2 sacks and two interceptions in 70 games, including eight starts before being released by the Chiefs back in April.
