Clifford, UC Irvine prove no match for Pacifica in 116-47 beating

Conor Clifford scored 18 points and UC Irvine was no match for Pacifica, handing them a 116-47 beating.

Clifford was 7 of 10 from the field and had 11 rebounds. Chris McNealy, who was 7 of 8 from the field, scored 15 points as did Alex Young, who also had seven rebounds and six assists. Travis Souza added 13 points, Michael Wilder had 12 and Will Davis II had 10. The Anteaters shot 60 percent from the field in the first half and 63 percent for the game.

UC Irvine (2-1) was up 58-21 at halftime.

Shaun Weeks scored 10 points for Pacifica. Davon Oliver added 9 points. Adam Tolbert and Austin Payne each had 7 points.

This is the third year of play for Pacifica.
