Tyler Clark completed two touchdown passes and guided Norfolk State to a 27-21 win over Morgan State in the conference opener for both schools Saturday.

Norfolk State's (1-3, 1-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) first win of the season spoiled the home opener for Morgan State (0-5, 0-1).

After Morgan State took a 7-0 lead, Clark completed his first touchdown pass to Lynden Trail to tie the game at 7-7 in the second quarter. A field goal with less than a minute left in the quarter put the Spartans up 10-7 at halftime.

Following Clark's second touchdown pass, Trail added an interception that led to a Norfolk State field goal which gave the Spartans a 20-7 advantage. Trail had two interceptions in the game.

Brendon Riddick's rushing touchdown with just over three minutes remaining in the game counteracted two fourth-quarter scores by Morgan State as Norfolk State held on for the win.
