Chiefs fans should know this extremely encouraging statistic

Kansas City capped its undefeated preseason with a 24-17 victory in St. Louis on Thursday night.

That's only happened twice before, and all fans should love this trend courtesy of ESPN's Adam Teicher:

Exhibition play is no harbinger of regular-season success. Just ask the 2008 Detroit Lions, who also went unbeaten that year before losing all 16 games.

Still, it's encouraging to see the Chiefs clicking on all cylinders before Week 1. And maybe -- just maybe -- one of the teams that made the inaugural Super Bowl will end up in it's 50th game.
