Chiefs' Eric Berry feels right back at home in Arrowhead return

It's been more than 10 months since Eric Berry played in Arrowhead Stadium.
Boy, does the Chiefs star safety and cancer survivor feel good to be home again.
"All those emotions you have just riding through that parking lot -- you have to be part of the Kansas City Chiefs family to understand how that feels," Berry explained after the Chiefs' preseason game against Seattle, "Everyone is grilling out and having a good time. But every time you come through, it's like they know when a player is coming. They stop and they wave, and they just give so many words of encouragement."
Arrowhead is one of the NFL's unique home fields. And lately, fans have turned it into a shrine to support Berry's battle against Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Now fully healthy, Berry plans to pay that forward -- by battling for his red-and-gold clad fans on Sundays. He received 21 plays in Friday's contest.
"Having those live bullets and being out there in the fire definitely helps you more," Berry said. "It gets you ready for the season. I'm excited. Whatever they want to do, though, I'm ready for it."
