Chelsea loans Mexican Davila to Vitesse

Chelsea loaned Mexican forward Ulises year loan deal Tuesday.

Davila, 20, signed a five-year contract with Chelsea from Mexico's Guadalajara but will spend the next year developing in the Dutch Eredivisie.

He can operate as either an attacking midfielder or a striker, playing both positions while representing his country at the FIFA U-20 World Cup. He appeared in all seven of Mexico's competitive matches in the tournament en route to securing a bronze medal.
