Castaignos leaves Inter for Twente

Twente confirmed the signing of forward Luc Castaignos from Inter Milan on Monday for a fee of roughly $7 million.

Castaignos moved to Inter last summer from Feyenoord, but he returns to the Netherlands after just 12 months in Italy on a four-year contract.

The 19-year-old made only six appearances for the Nerazzurri this past season, and acknowledged that regular playing time was a big reason for his return to the Eredivisie.

"I chose (in favor of the) certainty to play," Castaignos told his new club's official website.

"Not that I am sure of a starting place; I must work hard. But I want to go back to basics and return to the Netherlands.

"I realized that there was not much confidence in me [at Inter], yet I have no regrets."
