Cards activate Wong

St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - The St. Louis Cardinals activated second baseman Kolten Wong prior to Sunday's game against the Marlins.

Wong, the team's primary second baseman in his first full year of service in the majors, missed 13 games with a left shoulder contusion. The 23-year-old has posted a .228 average with 14 runs scored and 16 RBI in 45 games this season.

In a corresponding move, outfielder Shane Robinson was optioned to Triple-A Memphis. Robinson appeared in eight games since his recall on June 22, making one start and batting 1-for-10 with a triple.
