Cardinals recall Dickson

The St. Louis Cardinals optioned pitcher Barrett Browning to Triple-A Memphis and recalled pitcher Brandon Dickson from the minor league club.

Browning went 1-3 with a 5.12 ERA in 22 relief appearances for the Cardinals this season.

Dickson appeared in two games for St. Louis in May, allowing one unearned run on three hits. He went 5-11 with a 3.55 ERA in 22 starts for Memphis this year.
