Cardinals' Larry Fitzgerald inactive vs. Seahawks, ending consecutive starts streak at 110

Published January 08, 2015

Associated Press

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald was inactive for Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks, ending his streak of consecutive starts at 110.

Fitzgerald was questionable after suffering an MCL sprain in his left knee last week against Detroit. He did not practice all week and Arizona coach Bruce Arians said Fitzgerald would be a game-day decision. Fitzgerald said during the week he believed he could play even without practicing.

Fitzgerald last missed a game in Week 13 of the 2007 season. It's just the fifth game Fitzgerald has missed in his NFL career.

Seattle was without left guard James Carpenter for the third straight game with an ankle sprain. Carpenter went through a pregame workout, but the Seahawks decided on going with Alvin Bailey again at left guard.
