Cardinals hopeful of Michael Floyd's return for opener

It's been three weeks since Michael Floyd dislocated three fingers at practice.

But head coach Bruce Arians remains optimistic he'll be ready to go for the season opener vs. the Saints on Sept. 13.

"I wouldn't be shocked if he was ready," Arians said, via the team website.

Floyd had the stitches from his hand removed last week, but has yet to try catching passes.

If Floyd is indeed ready by the season opener, Carson Palmer gets another reliable pass catcher out wide, along with John Brown and emerging rookie J.J. Nelson.
