Glendale, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - The Arizona Cardinals' defense suffered a big blow Monday when defensive tackle Darnell Dockett tore his ACL.

Dockett was carted off the field during Monday's practice with a right knee injury and an MRI revealed the severity. He will need season-ending surgery.

The 33-year-old Dockett has been a starter since Arizona selected him in the third round of the 2004 draft. A three-time Pro Bowl selection, Dockett has recorded 459 tackles and 40 1/2 sacks in 158 games.

Dockett has only missed a total of two games over the past 10 seasons.

Dockett's injury means Frostee Rucker will likely move into the starting lineup.
