California man facing evidence tampering charges in Vanderbilt rape case turns himself in

A California man indicted on charges of evidence tampering in connection with a rape investigation involving former Vanderbilt football players has surrendered to Nashville police.

Nashville police said Friday that Miles Joseph Finley turned himself in at police headquarters. Bond is $10,000.

Police say Finley and Joseph Quinzio tampered with electronic evidence involving the investigation. Quinzio is going through the extradition process in California.

Safety Cory Batey, defensive back Brandon Banks, receiver Jaborian "Tip" McKenzie and tight end Brandon Vandenburg were indicted Aug. 9 on five counts of aggravated rape each, among other charges. Receiver Chris Boyd pleaded guilty Sept. 13 to a misdemeanor for his role in attempting to cover up the incident.

All five were dismissed from the team. Boyd was the only player not suspended from school.
