Bulls assign backup point guard Teague to Iowa of NBA Development League

The Chicago Bulls have assigned backup point guard Marquis Teague to the Iowa Energy of the NBA Development League.

A first-round draft pick out of Kentucky in 2012, Teague had fallen behind veteran Mike James in the rotation. He averaged 1.2 points, 0.8 assists and 8.9 minutes in nine games.

The Bulls announced the move on Tuesday.
