Buffalo's stingy defense stymies Ohio in 41-17 win

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) Okezie Alozie returned one of his two interceptions for a touchdown to help lead Buffalo past Ohio 41-17 on Saturday.

Buffalo picked off Derrius Vick three times and his backup Greg Windham once. Ryan Williamson also had a pick-6, and his 15-yard return tied the game at 7.

Alozie's score came with 3:05 left in the second quarter and gave the Bulls a 28-10 lead. Houston Glass recorded Buffalo's fourth interception.

Jordan Johnson ran for 147 yards on 28 carries and scored twice for Buffalo (3-4, 1-2 Mid-American Conference). Joe Licata threw for 212 yards on 21-of-32 passing.

Vick was 32 of 51 for 321 yards. Keith Heitzman had six catches for 83 yards for Ohio (5-3, 2-2).

Ohio's only lead of the game came early when Daz'mond Patterson ran from 6 yards to put the Bobcats up 7-0.
