Bucknell rolls past La Salle 89-77

Mike Muscala scored 21 points and Bucknell beat La Salle 89-77 on Friday night for its first road win of the season in five tries.

The Bison (5-6) won their third straight game and defeated La Salle in Philadelphia for the first time ever. Bryan Cohen added 19 points, Cameron Ayers scored 13 and Darryl Shazier had 10 for the Bison, who snapped a two-game losing streak against the Explorers.

Bucknell led 36-28 at halftime and built a 13-point lead in the second half before La Salle trimmed it to 53-49 with 12:45 to play. Bucknell answered with six straight points to push ahead 59-49 and the lead never dipped below eight points the rest of the way.

Aaric Murray scored 28 points, Jerrell Williams added 15 and Ruben Guillandeaux had 13 for La Salle (6-5), which lost for the first time this season to a team with a losing record.
