Browns ink Barnes

The Cleveland Browns signed defensive back Kevin Barnes to a one-year contract on Monday.

Barnes appeared in two games with the Lions last season before being waived on Sept. 18.

Originally taken by the Redskins in the third round of the 2009 NFL Draft, Barnes has 45 tackles, three interceptions and nine passes defensed in 31 career games with Washington and Detroit.
