Danny Trevathan's often-injured knee is no longer such a hindrance.

Now, the Broncos defender wants to make his comeback complete in a way only a linebacker would love.

"You just want to hit somebody," he told the Denver Post. "That's what my mentality is, just to be as physical (as possible)."

Trevathan is itching for contact and you can hardly blame him. He was in and out of the Broncos' lineup last season, eventually succumbing to a knee injury that required season-ending surgery.

He'll form a dynamic linebacking duo with fellow 'backer and rehab buddy Brandon Marshall when he's healthy. Trevathan just wants to get to that point.

"This year, I just want to get it right and make sure it was all the way right," he said. "My main focus is just to make it to the regular season and stay the whole way."
