Braves' Beachy leaves game

Published November 20, 2014

Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Brandon Beachy left Saturday's 5-0 loss to the Baltimore Orioles with right elbow soreness.

Beachy, who will have an MRI as soon as one can be scheduled, was perfect through 3 2/3 innings before a six-pitch walk to Chris Davis. He exited following the free pass and Anthony Varvaro allowed a two-run, bases-loaded single to Mark Reynolds later in the frame.

The Braves were one-hit on the night by Orioles starter Jason Hammel.

Beachy was 5-4 with a 1.98 ERA in 12 starts this season coming into the game.
