Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - The Atlanta Braves activated pitcher Jordan Walden from the 15-day disabled list prior to Tuesday's game against the Colorado Rockies.

Walden spent a month on the DL with a strained hamstring. The right-hander posted a 2.92 earned run average with one save and 19 strikeouts over 14 appearances before the injury.

To make room for Walden on the roster, the Braves optioned pitcher Alex Wood to Triple-A Gwinnett. The left-hander went 5-6 with a 3.43 ERA in 18 games (seven starts) this season.
