Boston Red Sox center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury left Friday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays with an apparent right shoulder injury.

He hurt the shoulder while sliding into second to break up a double play in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Ellsbury's arm was pinned to his body as he left the contest. He was replaced in the lineup by Ryan Sweeney, while Cody Ross moved from right field to center.
