Bologna defender Natali suffers knee injury

Bologna defender Cesare Natali could be out six months with a knee injury, the Italian club said Tuesday.

Natali damaged knee ligaments in a Serie A match against Fiorentina on Sunday and will require surgery that will sideline him for an extended period.

The 33-year-old Natali, a former Italy youth international, joined Bologna this offseason from Fiorentina on a two-year contract.
