Blue Jackets activate MacKenzie

Columbus, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - The Columbus Blue Jackets activated forward Derek MacKenzie off injured reserve on Thursday.

MacKenzie, who has two goals and one assist in 22 games this season, missed the past five games with a strained back suffered in a game at Vancouver on November 22.

The Blue Jackets return to action on Friday when they host the Minnesota Wild.
