Chicago Blackhawks left wing Joakim Nordstrom agreed to terms on a one-year contract on Wednesday.
The team did not reveal the financial terms of the deal for the 23-year-old Nordstrom, who collected three assists in 38 games in the regular season in 2014-15 and appeared in three playoff contests.
Nordstrom has scored one goal and set up five others in 54 career games with the Blackhawks.
The 6-foot-1, 189-pound Swede recorded nine tallies and seven assists in 23 contests with Rockford of the American Hockey League last season. Nordstrom served as the IceHogs captain in 2014-15.
