Big Sky suspends four players

The Big Sky Conference issued suspensions on Tuesday to four football players for actions in games last week.

Two suspensions involved Idaho State players. Nick Beckman, a sophomore offensive lineman, was suspended for the first half of Saturday's game against UC Davis for throwing a punch in a game against Portland State. Freshman defensive back Taison Manu was suspended for the full game against UC Davis for using the crown of his helmet on a tackle in the Portland State game.

UC Davis sophomore linebacker Stephen Pitts was issued a one-game suspension for tackling using the crown of his helmet on a play in the the Aggies' game against Montana State. He will serve the suspension against Idaho State.

Cal Poly junior defensive back Alex Hubbard was suspended one game for a high hit on a defenseless player in the Mustangs' game against Weber State. He will serve the suspension against Northern Colorado.
