Benneteau, Roger-Vasselin win French Open men's doubles title

Paris, France (SportsNetwork.com) - The 11th-seeded French tandem of Julien Benneteau and Edouard Roger-Vasselin secured their maiden Grand Slam title with a straight-set victory over the 12th-seeded Spanish duo of Marcel Granollers and Marc Lopez in Saturday's men's doubles final at the French Open.

Benneteau and Roger-Vasselin defeated Granollers and Lopez by a 6-3, 7-6 (7-1) margin on Court Chatrier.

Both pairings were looking to secure their first ever title at a major.

Benneteau and Roger-Vasselin took home $545,000 with the victory.
