Bengals WR A.J. Green held out of practice with toe injury, hoping to play vs Titans

Published February 05, 2015

Associated Press

Pro Bowl receiver A.J. Green didn't practice on Wednesday because of an injured toe on his right foot, but expected improvement later in the week.

Green hurt the foot during Cincinnati's opening win in Baltimore and stayed in for the full game. He was limited in practice last week and tried to play Sunday, but was forced to the sideline during the opening series.

The Bengals beat the Falcons 24-10 to stay undefeated. It's unclear whether Green will be available this Sunday against Tennessee (1-1). Cincinnati has its bye the following week, so Green will have time to rest.

He failed to get a reception on Sunday for the first time in his career.
