FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The NFL is warning teams about fighting during games.

After several fights have broken out during training camps, NFL executive vice president of football operations Troy Vincent sent a memo to all 32 teams Friday reminding players that prohibiting fights during games will be a point of emphasis for officials.

A copy of the memo was obtained by The Associated Press. It reminds players of league policy that says, "Don't fight, and if a fight breaks out involving other players, stay away.'"

The penalty for fighting is 15 yards with a potential ejection if the foul is judged by the referee to be flagrant.

The warning comes after fights broke out in several camps, including one in the New York Jets locker room in which quarterback Geno Smith's jaw was broken by a teammate.
