Bartra to miss three weeks for Barcelona

Barcelona defender Marc Bartra could miss the next three weeks after he sustained a muscle injury in his right leg during training on Sunday.

The 21-year-old made his first Barcelona appearance during the 2009-10 season, but his first-team opportunities have increased lately due to a rash of injuries to Barca's back line.

Bartra did not travel with the team to Russia for Tuesday's Champions League encounter with Spartak Moscow, and he could miss up to six games while sidelined because of his injury.

A Spain Under-21 international, Bartra has appeared in seven games in all competitions for the Catalan side this season.
