Auburn coach Gus Malzahn closed his first recruiting class by landing two of the nation's top defensive linemen.

Defensive tackle Montravius Adams and end Elijah Daniel both announced on Wednesday that they'd play for the Tigers. The class is ranked No. 10 by Rivals.

Malzahn is known more for his fast-paced offense but the defensive front was clearly the strength of a class that survived a couple of high-profile defections after Gene Chizik's firing.

The late additions join five-star defensive end Carl Lawson, regarded as the nation's No. 4 recruit by Rivals.

Malzahn says he feels like they're "three of the best in the entire country."

Running back Johnathan Ford also chose the Tigers over Tennessee on Wednesday.

The Tigers signed three quarterbacks, including junior college transfer Nick Marshall.
