Houston Astros catcher Max Stassi suffered no serious damage after being hit by a pitch on Wednesday.

Stassi was batting against Tanner Scheppers in the eighth inning of an eventual 5-4 Texas victory when he was hit in the shoulder/face region by a pitch.

He was taken to the Medical Center of Arlington and kept overnight for observation. MRI and CAT scans taken following the game revealed no facial fractures, but Stassi will be released later on Thursday and return to Houston for concussion testing.
