Baltimore, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - Baltimore police said Wednesday a 19-year- old suspect was arrested in connection to this week's on-campus stabbing involving Morgan State football players.

City police said Carlos Mars was being held at the city jail.

Police initially said three victims were stabbed outside a campus dining hall Tuesday afternoon, but on Wednesday the Baltimore Sun reported two players were stabbed and the third player suffered abrasions from the attack yet had not been stabbed.

One of the victims was hospitalized in serious condition after being stabbed in the chest.

The incident occurred at a gathering sponsored by the Morgan State student government and several fraternities and sororities.

Morgan State earned a spot in the 2014 FCS playoffs as the champion of the Mid- Eastern Athletic Conference.
