Arkansas hopes to move past blowouts against Alabama, snap SEC losing streak

Published February 05, 2015

Associated Press

Arkansas has struggled mightily against Alabama in recent years, losing the last two games by identical 52-0 scores.

The Razorbacks (3-2, 0-2 Southeastern Conference) will have the chance to show how far they've come under second-year coach Bret Bielema when they host the No. 7 Crimson Tide (4-1, 1-1) on Saturday.

Alabama has won seven straight games against Arkansas, but it faltered in a surprising loss at Mississippi last week. However, the school hasn't lost two SEC games in a row since 2007 — Nick Saban's first year as coach.

Led by running backs Alex Collins and Jonathan Williams, the Razorbacks lead the SEC in rushing offense with an average of 316.6 yards per game.
