A fight between Jorge Arce and Jesus Rojas was stopped in the opening moments of the second round Saturday after Arce was hurt on an unintentional foul.

Rojas hit Arce with a low blow, then a right to the back and a left hook that caught his opponent in the left ear, stopping the fight just nine seconds into the round.

Arce (60-6-2) went to his corner, complained that he couldn't stand up and was examined by a doctor, who looked in the fighter's left ear. Eventually, Arce fell over on his back and the fight was declared a no contest.

Rojas (18-1-1) called Arce a "coward" through an interpreter during an in-ring interview and said his opponent "didn't come to fight."

The bout was part of the Manny Pacquiao-Timothy Bradley undercard at the MGM Grand.
