Anita scores to lift Ajax over DC United 2-1

Vurnon Anita's goal in the 87th minute lifted AFC Ajax to a 2-1 win over DC United in an international exhibition at RFK Stadium on Sunday.

Anita dribbled deep into United territory and then with his left foot smacked home the go-ahead goal past goalkeeper Steve Cronin and inside the left post.

In the 10th minute, Miralem Sulejmani scored past United's starting goalkeeper Bill Hamid off a feed from Nicolas Lodeiro.

United's play improved after falling behind and they knotted the score at one in the 58th minute on a goal by substitute Blake Brettschneider off a centering pass from Joseph Ngwenya.
