Angels option Carpenter, recall Geltz

The LA Angels of Anaheim optioned pitcher David Carpenter to Triple-A Salt Lake and recalled pitcher Steve Geltz from Salt Lake.
Carpenter is 1-2 on the season with a 4.76 earned run average over 28 games.
Geltz has yet to appear in a game in the majors and is 3-1 with a 2.09 ERA in 40 games between Salt Lake and Double-A Arkansas this season.
