Alexis DeJoria raced to the No. 1 qualifying position in Funny Car at zMAX Dragway Saturday in the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals.

Coming off a victory in Las Vegas, DeJoria claimed her first No. 1 qualifying position of the season and fourth of her career with a track-record time of 3.934 seconds at 321.04 mph in a Toyota Camry.

"Tommy (DeLago, crew chief) got on the radio and said, 'Well, we didn't pick up as much as I wanted to," DeJoria said, smiling. "Another consistent .93. I didn't think we were going to stay No. 1. There are a lot of great cars out there. Fortunately, we were the best one today. I'm just proud of my guys."

Steve Torrence led the Top Fuel field, Greg Anderson topped the Pro Stock lineup, and Eddie Krawiec led in Pro Stock Motorcycle in the unique event that features racing in a four-lane configuration. Torrence had a 3.736 at 326.48, and Anderson ran a 6.576 at 210.73. Krawiec had a 6.818 at 192.85 on Friday.
