Ajax overcame a two-goal halftime 2 draw with AZ Alkmaar at the Amsterdam Arena on Saturday.
First-half goals from Brett Holman and Roy Beerens handed the visitors a two- goal lead, but Ajax fought back after the break as Miralem Sulejmani converted from the penalty spot before Theo Janssen fired home the equalizer eight minutes from time.
A deflected shot from Holman accounted for the opening goal, while he turned provider in the 22nd minute to set up a nice counter attack move that ended with Beerens lobbing goalkeeper Kenneth Vermeer.
Siem de Jong and Derk Boerrigter each hit the crossbar for Ajax, but the hosts found the net shortly after halftime with Sulejmani converting from the penalty spot after Boerrigter was brought down by Dirk Marcellis.
Janssen beat goalkeeper Esteban Alvarado with a powerful shot to equalize in the 82nd minute while Eyong Enoh picked up a second yellow card for Ajax late on.
Twente 4, RKC Waalwijk 0
Waalwijk, Netherlands - A hat trick from Marc Janko helped Twente to a 4-0 win over RKC Waalwijk on Saturday, moving the club into second place.
Janko's first goal arrived shortly before halftime, and he doubled the advantage early in the second half from the penalty spot.
Wout Brama scored on the hour mark to make it 3-0, and Janko completed his hat trick in the 72nd minute, giving Twente eight points from its last four games.
RKC Waalwijk suffered its third loss in four matches.
PSV Eindhoven 1, Utrecht 0
Eindhoven, Netherlands - PSV Eindhoven won its third straight game on Saturday with a second-half goal from Ola Toivonen, giving the club a 1-0 win over Utrecht.
Toivonen's goal arrived in the 71st minute, and Utrecht's hopes for a comeback were dashed in the 88th minute when Marcus Nilsson was sent off.
Heerenveen 1, De Graafschap 1
Heerenveen, Netherlands - Heerenveen extended its unbeaten streak to five games after playing to a 1-1 draw with De Graafschap on Saturday.
Sven Kums put Heerenveen in front in the 41st minute, but his opener was canceled out by Michael de Leeuw one minute later for De Graafschap, helping the club avoid a fourth successive loss.
Heracles 2, Groningen 1
Almelo, Netherlands - Groningen had its three-game winning streak snapped on Saturday with a 2-1 defeat at Heracles.
Lerin Duarte tallied the opener on the half-hour mark, while Groningen equalized through Hyun Jun Suk in the 73rd.
However, Willy Overtoom tallied the winner 10 minutes from time, giving Heracles its second straight win.
