After short offseason, Bruins open camp with several players who were two wins away from title

The Boston Bruins have opened training camp less than three months after nearly winning their second Stanley Cup in three years.

Almost all of last season's players are back and they've added right wings Jarome Iginla and Loui Eriksson to play on the first two lines. They'll take spots left vacant by the departure of Nathan Horton to the Columbus Blue Jackets and Tyler Seguin in a trade with the Dallas Stars.

The Bruins were close to forcing a seventh game in the Stanley Cup finals on June 24. Then they allowed two goals in the last 76 seconds and the Chicago Blackhawks won the game, 3-2, and the championship.

Coach Claude Julien says the Bruins kept their core together but also added fresh faces to create excitement and keep things from getting stale.
