Adams leaving UCLA for NBA Draft

Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - UCLA coach Steve Alford confirmed Sunday that leading scorer Jordan Adams has decided to enter the NBA Draft.

Adams averaged 17.4 points and 5.3 rebounds in 36 games for the Bruins this past season, also setting a school record with 95 steals. He had initially said he would return for his junior season.

"Jordan informed us (Saturday) that he has decided to enter this year's NBA Draft," Alford said Sunday in a statement. "He had two terrific seasons while at UCLA. I enjoyed coaching him this past season and wish him and his family all the best."

Adams started 63 of the 69 games he played for the Bruins and averaged 16.4 points with 4.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists. The 6-foot-5 guard from Atlanta was an All-Pac-12 first-team selection this past season.

The Bruins have lost three underclassmen to the NBA Draft this spring, as Kyle Anderson and Zach LaVine previously announced their decisions to turn pro.
