Abi Olajuwon among 2 players cut by Fever

Published November 20, 2014

Associated Press

The Indiana Fever has cut Abi Olajuwon and Jene Morris as they prepare for Tuesday night's final preseason game against Minnesota.

The 6-foot-4 Olajuwon, a daughter of former NBA star Hakeem Olajuwon, played in six games before being waived by Chicago last season. The Fever signed Olajuwon to a training camp contract in March.

Morris, a 5-foot-9 guard, averaged 8.0 minutes in 25 games after being drafted by the Fever in 2010. She averaged 2.9 points and 0.6 rebounds as a rookie.

Indiana must still cut one more player before Saturday's home opener against Chicago.
