5 games into his first season at Ohio State, Urban Meyer says his Buckeyes have come together

Urban Meyer estimates that in his 26 years of coaching — including 11 as the head man at Bowling Green, Utah, Florida and now Ohio State — he's only seen six or seven teams that ever truly "came together."

The latest one to reach that degree of unity did it on Saturday, sometime in the midst of a difficult 17-16 victory at Michigan State.

Meyer knows he doesn't have a perfect team. Far from it. He'd be the first to point out every little shortcoming of his Buckeyes (5-0, 1-0 Big Ten).

But one thing he knows about the rather motley collection of guys he inherited who had struggled through a year with seven losses in 2011 is that they're all in it for each other these days.
