(SportsNetwork.com) - Hall of Famer Bob St. Clair, a 6-foot-9 offensive tackle who played all 11 of his NFL seasons for the San Francisco 49ers, died Monday at the age of 84.

St. Clair played for the 49ers from 1953-63, appearing in 119 games, and was a member of the University of San Francisco's undefeated 1951 team.

"Bob was a great San Franciscan who along with his '51 Dons teammates embodied the character and values of our university by taking a courageous stand against racism in the early 50s," San Francisco athletic director Scott Sidwell said in a statement. "He will be greatly missed."

St. Clair was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1990 after more than two decades of eligibility.
