SF Giants Pitcher Matt Cain Selling His Paradise Valley Home

San Francisco Giants pitcher Matt Cain is ready to leave behind a slice of paradise in Paradise Valley, AZ. The three-time World Series champ and only Giants hurler to ever throw a perfect game is selling his gated mansion for $5.85 million.
According to agent Anita Best of Walt Danley Realty, the house sold rapidly in 2013 when the original builder-owners first put it up for sale. This isn't a surprise, as the Tuscan-style home built in 2009 is filled with luxurious features inside and out.
"The whole yard is a very private compound," Best says. It features a koi pond, an in-ground trampoline (below a children's slide!), a putting course, and a pool with a fire feature backdrop. There's also a guesthouse that's currently outfitted as a media room. There's parking for up to eight cars in the bilevel garage, which features a mechanic's shop on top and a walkout carport below -- with an elevator connecting the two.
Inside the five-bedroom, 11,084-square-foot mansion you'll find mahogany paneling and tasteful use of marble throughout -- especially in the master bathroom. Check out that fireplace/spa/TV combo. And if you feel like taking a shower during the big game? Best says there's a TV in the shower, so you won't miss a beat.
There's no word on why the 31-year-old pitcher is selling, as Best declined to comment on the owners.
