NHL All-Star Oleg Tverdovsky Selling $8.5M Mansion in Bel Air

Five years after buying his mansion in the Bel Air neighborhood, hockey star Oleg Tverdovsky is looking to sell it -- and if it goes for its listing price of $8.5 million, he'll gain $3 million in the process.
The NHL All-Star bounced around in the NHL from 1994 to 2007, playing for six different teams, including the New Jersey Devils and Carolina Hurricanes, with whom he won the Stanley Cup in 2003 and 2006. After leaving the States, he played in the Russian Hockey Federation until retiring in 2013.
Purchased for $5.4 million in 2010, his five-bedroom, 7,000-square-foot home in Los Angeles is the epitome of Russian luxe. For example, the custom-built master bathroom with a marble walk-in shower "looks like a Las Vegas suite," says listing agent Elise Woroboff.
